Submission Guidelines
The Universal Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovative Development (UJMRID) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research across a wide array of disciplines. UJMRID encourages contributions from researchers, academicians, and professionals around the world. The journal provides an avenue for the dissemination of innovative research findings across diverse fields, including science, engineering, technology, business, social sciences, and humanities.
Scope of the Journal
UJMRID publishes articles covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

Types of Manuscripts
UJMRID accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles
- Detailed, original research, including experimental or theoretical work, data analysis, and findings.
Review Articles
- Critical and comprehensive reviews of existing literature on a specific topic, identifying gaps and proposing future research directions.
Short Communications
- Brief reports on new, significant research findings that require prompt publication.
Case Studies
- In-depth investigations of a specific case, providing insights or lessons learned.
Technical Notes
- Discussions of novel methodologies, techniques, or technologies that can advance the field.
Submission Process
Online Submission
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission portal available on the UJMRID website. Manuscripts submitted via email or physical mail will not be considered.
Submission Requirements
Before submission, authors must ensure their manuscript includes the following:
Title of the Manuscript
Abstract (Maximum 250 words)
Keywords (3–6)
Main Sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion
References (Formatted according to the journal’s style)
Author Information: Names, affiliations, emails, and ORCID IDs (if applicable)
Cover Letter
- Must confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been submitted elsewhere, and all authors have approved the manuscript for submission.
Ethical Statement
- Authors must confirm that ethical standards have been adhered to, particularly for studies involving human or animal subjects.
Manuscript Formatting Guidelines
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Title: Bold, 14 pt, Title Case, Center-aligned
- Headings:
- Main Headings: Bold, 14 pt, Center-aligned
- Subheadings: Bold, 12 pt, Left-aligned
- Abstract: Single paragraph, maximum 250 words, without headings
- Keywords: 3–6 keywords, italicized
- Figures and Tables:
- Embedded in the manuscript, properly labeled and referenced in the text.
- Figures should be high resolution (preferably .PNG, .JPEG, or .TIFF).
- Tables must be created using the built-in table tool in Word (not images).
- References: Follow APA 7th Edition referencing style.
Note: Manuscripts should not contain footnotes. All citations and references must be in-text citations and listed in the reference section.
Peer Review Process
UJMRID follows a double-blind peer review process:
Initial Editorial Screening:
- Manuscript undergoes an initial check for plagiarism, formatting, and adherence to guidelines.
Peer Review:
- If the manuscript passes the initial check, it is sent for peer review by two independent experts in the relevant field.
Reviewer’s Recommendation:
Based on the review, the manuscript may be:- Accepted as is
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
Author Revisions:
- Authors must address reviewer comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the designated time frame (usually within 2 weeks).
Final Decision:
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection based on reviewer feedback and the revised manuscript.
Ethical Guidelines
Authorship:
- All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research and manuscript preparation.
Plagiarism:
- UJMRID follows a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using tools like Turnitin or iThenticate. Manuscripts with plagiarism above 15% will be rejected.
Conflict of Interest:
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest (financial, professional, or personal) that could affect the research or publication process.
Human and Animal Rights:
- Research involving human participants or animals must comply with relevant ethical standards. Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval should be provided if applicable.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
UJMRID operates on an open-access model. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee covers editorial and publishing costs and ensures free access to the published articles for readers.

Copyright and Licensing
Copyright:
- Authors retain copyright to their work upon publication, but grant UJMRID an exclusive license to publish the manuscript.
Creative Commons License:
- Articles published in UJMRID are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share, adapt, and build upon the work, provided proper attribution is given.
Revisions and Proofreading
Revisions:
- Authors will be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments and suggestions. Revisions should be submitted within the designated time frame (typically 2 weeks).
Final Proofs:
- Once accepted, authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication. Any errors or corrections should be communicated promptly.
Publication Ethics
UJMRID adheres to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing:
Integrity:
- Manuscripts must be original, truthful, and based on sound research.
Fairness:
- Manuscripts will be evaluated solely on scientific merit, without bias.
Confidentiality:
- Editors, reviewers, and authors must maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and the peer review process.
No Plagiarism:
- Zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
Author Responsibilities
Originality:
- Ensure the manuscript is original, with accurately represented data and results.
Acknowledgment:
- Acknowledge all sources of financial support, contributions from non-authors, and any potential conflicts of interest.
Data Availability:
- Ensure that all data supporting the findings of the research are available for verification and reproducibility.
Rejection Policy
Manuscripts may be rejected for the following reasons:
- Lack of originality or novelty
- Insufficient or poor-quality data
- Failure to follow submission or formatting guidelines
- Ethical violations (e.g., plagiarism, falsification of data)
- Reviewers’ recommendations for rejection
